"The Story of an Hour" & "A very short story"
In life making the right decision on time may influence our future life. On a daily bases we live situations that mark or determinate our lives. Also we live situations that sometimes we don't know how to understand them or apply them to our lives, because these are an indicative of what we should or shouldn't do. If we don't know how to manage them they could affect our lives. "The Story of an Hour" and "A very short story" are stories that can help us understand why this things happen and the problems that we can have if we don't make the right decision in the right moment. Both stories show the importance of knowing how to make the right decisions in life.
In "The Story of an Hour” we see how Mrs. Mallard lived an unhappy life with her husband, and sometimes would think she loved him and other times she didn't think so. When knew that he had died in a matter of minutes she reflected about how was her life besides her husband. And while doing so, she didn't see her life but the life her husband had obligated her to live. Knowing of his death, her innerself went free and lets her see what she can do know that she is free. Unfortunately she dies when sees and knows that her husband is alive. She died of “happiness” or “pain”. We can see how fast life can change; this is why we have to know how to make the right decisions in life.
In "A very short story" Luz has been for months with a man who she thinks
she loves. They are not married but think they should get married. Time passes and the obstacles make her believe that getting married wouldn't be the right choice. So she decides to break up the relationship for there own good. Because of his end we see that she makes the right choice.
These two stories have something in common, and it is that both of them makes us analyze the fact of making the right decision and how they may affect us. Luz made the right decision when she decided to break up her relationship, probably because of all that she had passed through wouldn't have taken her to a happy ending. Probably if Luz would’ve married him, her life, as we see the ending, it wouldn't have been the best choice or maybe very similar to Mrs. Mallard. On the other hand Mrs. Mallard late discovered that she had not made a right decision in her life and when she ‘woke up” and desired to live a better life and change her life, it was too late and her heart didn't allow it. Unfortunately today most people make choices very rapidly and end up making wrong ones, without thinking in the consequences of there decisions.
I believe that these two authors want us to see life like it comes at you only once, and this is why we need to make the best out of it. We have to know how to make right decisions. When life comes at you with difficulties or situations, we have to make the right choice and see what life itself indicates. Luz and Mrs. Mallard are examples of how important for our lives to make a wise decision.

Song Analysis
I like this song because many of us can identify with it because when we have a break up we tend to go to bars, to forget or looking for some person to bring us company or attention.
We can se that the song follows a rhyme sequence in every verse (club-dubs, spot-hot). In another hand we see that at the end of each line the last words are repeated, this in order to call the attention or maybe to add some additional rhythm to the song. The rhyme is located every 2 lines (the first 2 lines rhyme, and then the next 2, etc.). In the case of the chorus we can see that the first line rhymes with the third and the other 2 are free. In the Hook we can se the repetition of many sounds that we may say are the consonance lyrics.

Essay #1: Character Analysis
In the world there are different people that enjoy doing harm and this is the case of Iago. Not only is doing evil to those who have done some harm to us or that simply we just don't like him. Is doing harm to anyone not mattering who it is, nor why, just doing harm to enjoy themselves. Iago is an example of this type of people that enjoy doing harm to others, and they rejoice, and they are proud of his talent towards doing evil. He is a very sleek and intelligent man to realize there evil planes.
To begin describing Iago and why I sustained the theory that he is a man that enjoined doing evil, we may begin by talking about the way he treats others. For example we have his wife, Emilia. She was faithful women, loving, and serving of her husband and he treats her meanly, and insultingly and only when convenient would he treat her with fake love. In the other hand, Roderigo who was supposedly his friend used him as much as he could to achieve his mean planes. He made him sell his possessions making him believe that he will have Desdemona and Iago took the money for himself. He made him help in his planes to destroy Cassio and at the end he took his life away. Roderigo had done no harm to him. Iago simply used him and enjoyed while doing it. Like he said, “For I mine own gain'd knowledge should profane, if I would time expend with such a snipe. But for my sport and profit."
Continuing with Cassio, against Cassio he suffered from envy which has harming him more and more because Othello had named him lieutenant instead of him. But Cassio had no fault of that. Even though he took it against him and humiliate in front of Othello and made Othello fire him. Not happy with this he made Othello believe that Cassio and his wife Desdemona were lovers. Everything he did was planed and with all the meanness of his heart, rejoicing in his talent to do evil. By his word "I'll have our Michael Cassio on the hip, Abuse him to the Moor in the rank garb-- For I fear Cassio with my night-cap too-- Make the Moor thank me, love me and reward me."
In Desdemona's case he committed a great injustice. He put her indirectly like only he new how to handle his wickedness, her image was put before Othello's eyes as if she was a prostitute. He made that the love that he felt for her was block by the pain and would blind him until he would accomplish to kill her. He didn't feel regret and he was the one that suggested Othello how to kill her. She was not guilty of anything but Iago enjoyed doing evil things. He made that Othello's jealousy and doubts increase towards his wife and said to him "Look to your wife; observe her well with Cassio". He felt grudge against Othello because he didn't name him lieutenant, but even though he made him believe that he has his best ally and adviser. Only one black soul like his could plane that Iago has planed and did. Like he said at the beginning "I follow him to serve my turn upon him: We cannot all be masters, nor all masters cannot be truly follow'd." "In following him, I follow but myself; heaven is my judge, not I for love and duty, but seeming so, for my peculiar end: for when my outward action doth demonstrate the native act and figure of my heart In compliment extern, 'tis not long after but I will wear my heart upon my sleeve for daws to peck at: I am not what I am”. And also told Roderigo "Let us be conjunctive in our revenge against him: if thou canst cuckold him, thou dost thyself a pleasure, me a sport".
What more proof that he enjoys and entertain himself by doing evil, that his every action is wicked. He was a calculating, cold, spiteful man. Without a doubt in that character (Iago) Shakespeare created the worst villain and the most manipulating of all times.

Shakespears: Othello
After reading Othello, the character that caught my attention was Roderigo. Roderigo, in my opinion, is a pathetic and jealous character. We can see how his ambition to have Desdemona drives him to the point of obsession, but she has married Othello and seems unaware of Roderigo's existence. Roderigo doesn't even have the ability to woo Desdemona on his own: he has already appealed to Brabanzio, Desdemona's father, for her hand in marriage, and when fails, he turns to Iago for help.
Rich and inexperienced, Roderigo naively gives his money to Iago in exchange for vague but unfulfilled promises of amorous success. Iago uses Roderigo's obsession for Desdemona and uses his money to revenge against Othello for Iago has suspicion of him having relations with Emilia, Iago's wife. In this whole play, Roderigo has made one wrong move after another. Once he knew Desdemona was married to Othello, he should have abandon his feelings toward her. Roderigo made his next wrong move in trusting someone with his money to force Desdemona to fall into his arms. His persistance drags him into lies and deceit from Iago and yet still does not end up with the woman he loves.

My English Essay
I can say that my development in English begins for my great interest in learning it. I really didn’t have good English teachers during my public school years, and that didn’t help me to develop my English well. I developed my English by watching TV programs (cable TV), reading articles in the internet, and especially sports news because I like the sports. Now, here in the university, I can say that my English courses have help me very much to develop my writing and reading in English.
My current use of English is basically for myself to communicate and read. Many of my family members live in the United States that speaks English and I communicate with them by e-mail, msn, and phone. Also in my last vacations I visited my family in Chicago and the necessity to communicate with the people there made me speak more in English and that helped me to have more fluency and be more independent, and not be intimidated at the time of having a conversation. I also use the English in some courses here in the university because the text books and some teachers give the classes in English. I also spend hours searching in the internet and reading many articles about sports which all of them are in English.
I know that English in my future is essential because I want to continue my studies in the United States and I have to develop and learn it as much as possible to have success in my plans. Also my plans are be a personal trainer or coach in one university in the United States and I need to have a great knowledge in English to be productive and have success in my job and life.
English is a universal language, is one of the most speaking languages in the world, for this I know it can open great of opportunities for me to progress now and in the future. The best I learn it, greater are the opportunities to me. I hope a lot that this course helps me to improve my English reading, writing and also to speak it better. I’m going to put all of my part to take all of the advantage as possible of this English course to be a perfect bilingual person.
